About Worship
Our desire for worship at Hope is to create an environment in which it is easy
to fall in love with God.  In the Episcopal Church, we worship God through faith
in Jesus Christ who gives his Holy Spirit to those who trust in Him.

Our form of worship involves the congregation by using liturgy, which means
"the work of the people." At Hope our liturgy comes from the
Book of Common
Prayer
and the use of plain, simple booklets.

Our
worship is a blend of traditional and contemporary styles.  In addition to
prayers and various styles of music, important parts of worship at Hope are
hearing God's Word and weekly receiving of the Sacraments.  All baptized
persons are welcome to the Lord's table regardless of denominational
affiliation.
About God
As Episcopalians, our authority is first the Word of God, the Bible, which is
God's self-revelation to human being; second is the authority of Tradition
(Creeds and Confessions of the historical church); and third is the authority of
Reason (the power of the mind to discern truth through the Holy Spirit, both
intuitive and rational). These three sources of authority, with the Word of God
being primary, guide our worship, teaching and life together.

At Hope Episcopal Church, our purpose is to glorify God.  Our
mission is to
invite persons young and old into a relationship Jesus Christ in a personal,
passionate and productive manner.
