Faithful Endings: Hospice, Pastoral Care, and Christian Burial
Join us for a parish seminar on preparing faithfully and thoughtfully for some of life’s most difficult moments.
This four-part seminar will explore what often happens when a catastrophic health event leads to long-term care, hospice, and end-of-life decisions. We will also consider how the Church, clergy, family members, and parishioners can respond with compassion, prayer, presence, and appropriate boundaries.
The seminar will include time to discuss funeral planning, the resources available through the Church, and the burial options and funeral practices within the Episcopal tradition.
Topics will include:
Catastrophic health events, long-term care, and hospice
How the Church and parishioners can respond with care and healthy boundaries
Funeral planning and preparing important information in advance
The Episcopal funeral service, burial options, and Christian hope in the resurrection
This seminar is for anyone who wants to plan ahead, care wisely for loved ones, or better understand the Church’s ministry at the time of death.
More details coming soon.
