Walking the Mourner’s Path
Walking the Mourner’s Path is a small-group grief ministry that offers a sacred, compassionate space for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Rooted in the Christian tradition and developed in Scottsdale, Arizona, this program gently guides participants through the spiritual and emotional journey of grief—honoring loss, exploring the meaning of mourning, and opening the possibility of healing and renewed life.
Over the course of the program, participants gather in a confidential and supportive setting with trained facilitators from our parish. Through guided conversation, reflection, prayer, and practical tools, each person is invited to engage their grief at their own pace, without pressure or expectation. The emphasis is not on “fixing” grief, but on walking through it—faithfully and honestly—alongside others who understand.
Walking the Mourner’s Path is offered each fall at Hope in the Desert and is open to anyone seeking a thoughtful, faith-centered approach to grief.
